Kebbi Makes History- Meet the youngest female LG Chair In Nigerian History- Hindatu Umar

Its bound to stair the waters a bit!

Governor Bagudu of Kebbi has just appointed Hindatu Umar a 25 year old secondary school graduate as the interim chairwoman of the Arugungu LG.

This wiould be the first time in Nigerian history- Not just in the North- that a 25 year old lady would be heading any local government area.

But thats not all, Nigeria’s Local Governments being exceptionally close to the grassroots mean Ms Umar would have a lot of work pacifying the already protesting male youths of Arugungu.

Northern Nigerian women have a tendency to get the job done and that probably means no job for the boys, and the fact that Ms Umar doesn’t have much political credentials mean she probably would not be entertaining the political class, as is the tradition in Nigeria.
