While some agencies of the Kano State Government are starting to look into the finances of the Kano Emirate and some news agencies (Blue Print) reporting that the Governor might suspend the Emir, It will do us some good to remember that in Fedurary 2016, The Emir sacked Alhaji Sani Umar Ganduje, a younger brother to the Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as village head of Ganduje town. The younger Ganduje was suspended about two months before his deposition for allegedly defrauding some intending pilgrims from his village of their monies.
When the matter was brought before the emir, he set up an investigative committee which finally found the sacked village head guilty of the allegations leveled against him.
It was based on the committee’s recommendations that the emir sacked the village head.
A write up on the acebook page of the Red Cap Revolution has already hinted that some people might be setting the stage for some old payback!
