A grant was presented to us by the US embassy to do this. We applied for grant to train women entrepreneurs in agriculture,i.e African Women Entrepreneurship Programme (AWEP) Nigeria Green Gold Project. You know agriculture is green gold so that is where we started off. Due to some reasons, the US embassy said we should do this project of collating the data of women entrepreneurs in the North. So, we believe this can be a stepping stone to the training of women.
She also disclosed that AWEP was only Gombe, Taraba, Yobe , Borno, Katsina, Bauchi, Abuja, Plateau, Kwara and Kaduna States and that only 10,000 women have been captured so far.
